Job Description
We are looking for a Social Media Intern to gain valuable, hands-on experience by directly assisting with the management of real client advertising campaigns. This role goes beyond theoretical learning, providing a deep dive into practical social media strategy and execution. You'll be involved in key aspects of campaign management, including monitoring performance and assisting with optimization. Crucially, you'll also contribute directly to the content pipeline by creating compelling ad creatives, which will involve utilizing and developing your skills in graphic design and video editing. This internship offers a unique opportunity to build a professional portfolio while understanding how strategy, design, and analytics drive client success.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the hands-on management of real client ad campaigns by monitoring ad performance and supporting the implementation of optimizations to improve targeting and effectiveness.
- Design and produce compelling ad creatives (graphics and short videos) that align with client brand identity and drive engagement and conversions.
- Develop visually appealing content that resonates with the target audience and support the creation of persuasive copy for both paid and organic content.
- Help analyze campaign metrics and collected data to measure effectiveness and contribute to data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Participate actively in brainstorming sessions to generate ideas and strategies for social media marketing campaigns.
- Support client communication by helping to gather performance updates and compiling information needed to address client inquiries promptly.
- Assist with content planning and scheduling, helping to curate content calendars and ensure a consistent flow of engaging content across platforms.
- Conduct competitor analysis to stay informed about industry trends and support strategic content positioning.
- Assist the team in preparing for client meetings by helping to compile strategy recommendations and campaign performance updates.
Job Requirements
- Basic understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices is required.
- Open to candidates with no prior experience; foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in social media marketing are a plus.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design and video editing is essential; familiarity with photo/video shooting, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop is advantageous.
- Minimum SPM holder; current enrollment or background in Advertising, Marketing, Media, or Communications is a plus.
- High creativity, keen eye for design, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Mandarin; proficiency in Malay is a bonus.
- Commitment to an internship period of three months or longer is preferred.
