Senior Creative Media Specialist
Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Creative Media Specialist who will lead and elevate our visual content production from concept to completion. This key leadership role involves mentoring junior team members, guiding their development in creative ideation and execution skills. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive content strategies that define the look and feel of our brand's visual output. Your expertise is essential in supervising all photo and video shoots, ensuring creative and brand standards are maintained and that only high-quality visual assets are captured. This is a hands-on position requiring occasional participation in shoots and visual editing to maintain quality control and lead by example.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor junior team members and interns involved in visual content creation, providing strategic guidance and constructive feedback.
- Develop comprehensive content strategies and visual concepts that define the brand's aesthetic and align with client objectives.
- Proactively initiate contact and communicate with clients regarding content direction, strategies, and complex visual requirements for their brands.
- Stay current with design, editing, and media trends, social media best practices, and emerging platforms to drive visual innovation.
- Supervise all photo and video shoots to ensure creative vision, brand standards, and high-quality assets are captured effectively.
- Occasionally participate in on-site shoots and provide hands-on visual editing and design support to maintain quality control and lead execution.
- Oversee storyboard planning, conceptualization, and all production elements (photography, videography, editing) for dynamic and engaging content.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive brand identity and storytelling across all social media channels.
- Manage the creation and adaptation of designs and videos for various platforms and formats, optimizing visuals for mobile and desktop viewing.
- Oversee the sourcing and manipulation of high-quality images and visual elements to enhance content impact.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of visual content, using data insights to iterate and optimize future design and content strategies.
- Contribute innovative ideas to team brainstorming sessions focused on evolving social media presence and user engagement.
Job Requirements
- Required hands-on experience and skills in photography, videography, photo editing, video editing, and graphic design, including proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
- Minimum of one year's experience in creative, media, or social media fields, with hands-on content creation experience for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Xiaohongshu/Rednote.
- Minimum SPM holder; a diploma/degree in Arts, Creative, or Media disciplines is a strong advantage.
- Exceptional creativity, a keen eye for design, strong leadership, and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Proven ability to multitask, problem-solve, consistently meet deadlines, and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Willingness and ability to travel to other states and overseas as required.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Mandarin; proficiency in Malay is a bonus.
- Immediate availability or ability to start on short notice is preferred.
